Through a series of photographs of
Barbara Love Newport and her sister Mary Ann Love Stoddard
( the Love sisters)
and inherited photographs from their Mother, Louise Love and their father’s sister Louise Love Sutton (the Louise Love sisters in law)
These are thoughts from a child of those who survived the Great American Dust Bowl Days.
An exhibition of 32 images offered by Barbara Love Newport joining together the westward migration of her family through family photographs to present a contemporary and spiritual view of. Faces, Places, and Transportation that brought her toArizona
-A retreat of defeat, from the worst hard times,
-Blown on the wind,
-Eroded away,
-Laid bare,
While each woman carried the family name of Love, each uses a different view to create a meaningful life, their individual struggles of the passage of time dovetail into a complementary whole that stirs the soul, and excites the minds’ artful translation that something other than the visual inhabits their lives..
